Yann Arthus Bertrand

This is one of my alltime favourite photographers. He made the book "The earth from above", which is an amazing collection of aerial pictures from all over the world. Over 500.000 pictures where taken since the start of the project, on his website you could enjoy 209 of his selected favourites. This represents the type of images I´m looking forward to produce myself when I grow up. Grand landscape with strong colours and great detail. Here are some links to his websites, it´s strongly recommended to have a look at his shots from the book "The earth from above". I would also like to use the opportunity to recommend, Steve Bloom, a photographic artist who specializes in evocative images of the natural world. Beatiful images that makes you stop and think.

Wim Wenders

I thought I would begin by posting a profile on one of my favourite photographers and film makers, Wim Wenders. I saw an exhibition of his work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney a few years ago and was enthralled by the undercurrent of narrative in each of the images. And, of course his filmic sense of colour and composition positioned each of the photographs in a way that allowed them to play off one another.

Have a look at his work @ www.wim-wenders.com/
